One delicious, cold glass of healthy lemonade coming right up!
Who enjoys a tall glass of ice-cold lemonade?
I know I sure do! Unfortunately most kinds you can buy are NOT healthy! For example: Country Time Lemonade, a very popular, easy to make powder that you just add water too!
The ingredients: Sugar, Fructose, Citric Acid, Contains Less than 2% of Maltodextrin, Natural Flavor, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Sodium Citrate, Magnesium Oxide, Calcium Fumarate, Soy Lecithin, Xanthan Gum, Artificial Color, Yellow 5 Lake, Tocopherol (Preserves Freshness).
NOT OK! Especially considering the only supplies you do need to make lemonade is water, lemons & sugar. That being said, it takes a lot of sugar to make this kind of lemonade.
This healthy lemonade recipe uses a liquid stevia, giving it a sweet but slighty sour taste. You may need to adjust the amount to your liking. For those who are dealing with candidia or are very strict with even natural sugar, this is a recipe that you can indulge in!
I really encourage you to use fresh lemons and strawberries in this….it makes it absolutely divine! 🙂 Click here for a sparkling spritzer recipe.
You can find liquid stevia on Amazon. Health food stores and most grocery stores are starting to carry it as well.
Enjoy!
