3 Foundations To Your Gut Healing Journey

If you are ready to start your gut healing journey, there are a couple things that are important to address first. Considering these three things will help you lay the foundation for the journey. As we all know, having a strong foundation is critical, whether you’re building a house, doing married life or working on your health.

  • Your why. Why are you doing this? What is prompting you to seek health? Are you tired of being scared to be out in public because a restroom may not be there when you need it? Are you done being anxious to go the bathroom, because it’s a long and difficult process? Is the bloating and pain getting unbearable? Is the stress and anxiety affecting your day? How you show up for your family? How you show up for work? This is the area where you want to dig deep. Lay it all out there. Be real and honest with yourself.
  • Acceptance. The sooner you can get behind the fact that this is a journey, that it will take time and that it may be uncomfortable; and that it is part of the process; the better. Change is uncomfortable. Growth is uncomfortable. It’s a normal part of the process to feel uncomfortable at times. When you start feeling this uncomfortableness, this is where your WHY comes in. Your WHY will keep you moving forward. It will help you to embrace the not so fun part because you know reward is on the other side.
  • Your support system. Sooner or later, you are going to need to rely on your support system. You’re going to have a bad day. You’re going to want to give up. There will be milestones (big and small!) that you will want someone to celebrate with. Get a support system in place. Whether it’s a family member, a good friend, a coach or health practitioner; more than likely you will need a variety of people to support you. Find them.
Laying these 3 things as part of your foundation will contribute to your true success.
